Practice:
Dave is a trial lawyer who has served as legal counsel for hundreds of health care providers over the span of his career, representing physicians, physician assistants, and other mid-level practitioners, nurses, and hospitals, both in the defense of malpractice litigation and in disciplinary and other licensing actions in the states of Nebraska and Iowa. He has served as the first chair lawyer in more than one hundred jury trials in his career. He also represents attorneys who have been sued for legal malpractice and has done general insurance defense work throughout his career, including the defense of vehicular accidents, slip-and-fall cases, product liability actions, and first-party actions on insurance policies. Dave has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury litigation, and especially enjoys the competitive environment of the courtroom when cases are taken to trial.

Dave is a Partner of Pansing Hogan Ernst & Buser LLP. Dave received his B.S. from the University of Nebraska and his J.D. from the University of Nebraska. Dave is a member of the Omaha Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, American College of Trial Lawyers (where he serves as President of the Nebraska Chapter 2018-2020), and the American Board of Trial Lawyers (where he served as President of the Nebraska Chapter in 2013). Dave is currently in Diplomate status with the American Board of Trial Lawyers.
Interests and Involvement:
Dave has a passion for helping the homeless and disenfranchised community through participating in volunteer legal clinics and other charitable activities. In his leisure time, Dave enjoys traveling with his wife and children, and has a goal of seeing a professional baseball game in every ballpark on the North American continent.
