Jim takes a sincere interest in the success of each project he becomes involved with and in the overall success of the individuals running the organizations behind the projects.  Jim has a real estate focused practice in the areas of commercial lending, real estate transactions, land development and SID matters. Jim is experienced in representing lenders and borrowers in various types of financing transactions, including acquisition and construction financing, permanent financing, and working capital lines of credit. Jim has spent many years advising on all aspects of commercial real estate development, including land acquisition and disposition, negotiation of development, design and construction documents, and project leasing. Jim’s approach to project management allows his clients to feel comfortable that their project is continually progressing with the care and attention that is required to succeed.

Credentials:

Jim is a Partner of Pansing Hogan Ernst & Buser LLP. Jim received his B.B.A. from the University of Iowa and his J.D. from the University of Iowa (with distinction). Jim is a member of the Omaha Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Jim has given lectures and presented at numerous Nebraska Bar Association seminars and other seminars focused on real estate financing, development and corporate law.

Interests and Involvement:

Jim enjoys spending time with his wife, Patty and his three young adult children. There may not be an outdoor activity that Jim is not a fan of. Jim enjoys fishing, hunting, golfing, running and hiking. Jim has been involved through board service and with fundraising for numerous charitable, educational and public service entities including the Children’s Hospital, Creighton Preparatory School, Marian High School, Jesuit Academy and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
